2017 Timber Cup Rules
General 1) Timber Cup Scoring is based on Net Scores or modified Net Scores as defined below 2) Hole Handicaps shall be determined/assigned by the Club Committee (versus what is assigned by the USGA)
Timber Cup Season 1) The Timber Cup Regular Season begins 15 April 2017 2) The Timber Cup Regular Season ends 18 November 2017 3) There is no Timber Cup Playoff This Year
Timber Cup Award Points Note: In the case of ties, in all points award categories, the points for all tied places are summed and divided by the number of ties at each tie level
Regular Season Events   A Total of 500 Timber Cup Points are awarded to the player with the lowest Net Score in events that the Club specifies as a 'Regular Season' Event. A numerical   formula is used to calculate all other players Cup Point Awards below 500 points down to a minumum (participation points) level of 200 points.
 Club Tournament Events   A Total of 750 Timber Cup Points are awarded to the player with the lowest Net Score in events that the Club specifies as a 'Tournament' (for Handicap   recording purposes). A numerical formula is used to calculate all other players Cup Point Awards below 750 points down to a minumum (participation   points) level of 300 points.
 Splinter Group Events   No points are awarded for winning or participating in Splinter Group (e.g., Tuesday/Thursday, etc.) Events
 Closest To The Pin   No points are awarded for winning Closest to the Pin
 Skins Winners   No points are awarded for winning a Skin (in any designated skins event)
 Hat Pool Winners (for whichever game is played, e.g., either points or best ball)   No points are awarded for winning/placing in a Hat Pool designated event
Prizes 1) A single prize is awarded to the winner of Timber Cup 2) The prize amount will be determined by the club President 3) The prize is derived from reallocating the prize from one event during the year towards the Timber Cup 4) The prize will awarded at the Annual Christmas Party
